京都で新たなキッチンづくりが始まります。
「京都」と聞くだけで、いつも心が少し高鳴ります。
伝統と美が息づくこの町で、木を生かしたキッチンを手がけられることに、私たちは大きな喜びを感じています。
はじめての打ち合わせへ
先日、はじめての打ち合わせに行ってきました。
現場は木造柱組の新築物件で、白く美しい檜の柱と、町屋らしく控えめな太さの松の梁が複雑に組み上がり、思わず見とれるほどの構造美でした。
まだ壁のない空間には、秋の光が柔らかく差し込み、少し肌寒い中にも穏やかな温もりがありました。
檜の香りと新しい木の息づかいを感じながら、設計担当の方とお客様の思いを丁寧に伺いました。
町屋づくりへの想い
社長の町屋づくりへの熱い想い、設計士さんの「お客様の思いを形にする」という設計意図を伺いながら、濃密で実りある打ち合わせとなりました。
京都の町屋が持つ静けさや奥ゆかしさを大切にしつつ、そこに新しい暮らしの風を吹き込む——。
そんなキッチンを目指して、素材の選定やデザインの方向性を固めていきます。
これからの製作へ
これからは、木材の選定や細部の設計を進め、いよいよ製作の段階へと入っていきます。
町屋の構造と調和しながらも、現代の暮らしに馴染むキッチンを形にしていく。
お客様に心から満足していただけるよう、ひとつひとつの工程を丁寧に重ねていきます。

打ち合わせのあと、京都で一番おいしいと友人から紹介されたとんかつ屋さんに行ってきました。
衣はサクッと軽く、お肉は驚くほどやわらか。口の中にじゅわっと広がる旨みと香ばしさに、思わず笑顔になりました。
忙しい一日の締めくくりに、心もお腹も満たされる幸せな時間でした。
A Kyoto Machiya Kitchen Project Begins
– Bringing the warmth of wood and craftsmanship into a traditional townhouse –
A new kitchen project is about to begin in Kyoto.
Just hearing the name “Kyoto” fills us with excitement and anticipation.
In this city where tradition and beauty live side by side, we feel deeply grateful for the opportunity to create a kitchen that celebrates the essence of wood.
Our First Meeting on Site
We recently visited the site for our very first meeting.
The building is a newly constructed wooden-frame house, where the pure white hinoki (Japanese cypress) columns and slender pine beams—so characteristic of Kyoto machiya—are intricately joined in a beautiful structure.
With no walls yet in place, the sunlight streamed through the frame, filling the cool air with gentle warmth.
Surrounded by the scent of fresh wood and the sound of carpenters at work, we discussed the client’s wishes and the architect’s intentions for the design.
Passion for Machiya Craftsmanship
The company president spoke passionately about Kyoto machiya architecture, and the architect shared his thoughtful approach to turning the client’s vision into form.
It was a deeply engaging and inspiring conversation—one that reminded us of the timeless beauty of craftsmanship rooted in place.
Our goal is to create a kitchen that harmonizes with the quiet elegance of the machiya, while bringing comfort and functionality for modern living.
Moving Forward
From here, we will carefully select the materials and refine the design before moving into production.
Our intention is to create a kitchen that blends naturally into the machiya structure while enriching everyday life with warmth and usability.
With every step, we will work with care and sincerity, aiming for a result that truly satisfies the client.

Bonus Story
After the meeting, we went to a tonkatsu restaurant that a friend told us was “the best in Kyoto.”
The coating was perfectly crisp, the pork unbelievably tender.
Each bite was full of rich flavor and warmth — the perfect way to end a fulfilling day in Kyoto.
